Washroom

This room is under the kitchen. To judge from the cold slab, and large iron hooks I found in the ceiling, it must have been used for food storage.
To make the floor/ceiling safe, and to permit funds from the mortgage company, the rotting joists were initially repaired with bolt-on extensions which can be seen here. The injection damp-course holes can also be seen: these were needed anyway, mortgage or not. The enormously heavy stone slab was laboriously hauled out into the garden and cleaned up nicely to be cut into several useful pieces.
