Back bedroom


This view is looking towards the front of the house. The wall to the left of the door was stud parition, so making a doorway into the room behind was no problem. It contained the only toilet in the house - a problem since adequately rectified!
Behind the fitted drawer units, which are now in my cellar workshop, I found another bricked-up fireplace and heavy York stone hearth set into the floor on a bed of earth - now removed!
This room now has the only original ceiling in the house: lath and plaster with a few imperfections, but good enough to leave.
