This shows the front in 1977. The bay windows upstairs were in such a dangerous state that I avoided walking beneath them. The design was flawed, and the heavy stone lintels were slowly moving outwards. The Victorian porch, too, was in a bad state. Most of the wood round the bottom was rotten.
